It was at Midgardsblot, a diverse Metal and historical festival in Norway, that we first met Johnny Hexx after one of our own shows. They approached us nervously, wanting to have a small chat. At that time they dit tell about their own artistic projects, music, storytelling and more. This was when Astral Synergy Productions were still taking baby steps and looking for new artists to work with, so we asked them to keep in touch and send some demos. Not long after the festival a few files dropped by email and just with that very first listen through there was no doubt, this is a truly inspired artist who pours their soul into their songs, with deeper meanings behind every track and with a uniqueness you rarely find today. So, it goes without saying, that we wanted to work for this artist. Now, soon two years later, we have an amazing album of 13 tracks!
It has been such a joy to produce this album, challenging but rewarding and we can finally present the debut album of Johnny Hexx: Scritta!
Scitta as a work itself, is the first of many tales I wish to tell. This album truly is a beginning. It explores childhood, tribal identity, animism, and all of the wonderous feelings and emotions that we feel as children and as we grow into adulthood and deeper spirituality. An album with anthems of strength, Odes and Honors to Gods, Fae-spun tunes and darker primal energies.
