Rúnahild: Ørnedans II

Ørnedans was originally released on the album Seidrúnar in 2017. But after a few years learning more and more about recording and mixing music, I feel I want to give a new life to some of my old songs. Ørnedans is the first in this series. It has been re-recorded, remixed and remastered.

Ørnedans means “Dance of the Eagle”. This song always brings me much joy when working with it. It is a song about embracing the eagle spirit and soaring high with it, to see a situation from above and see better the way onward toward the light.
It is a song inspired from one of my past encounter with the eagle. I heard the sound of a bird I could not quite recognise, lifted my eyes up and there it appeared right above me… the eagle majestically soaring in my direction… the immediate feeling I had was that I would have to see a situation from higher perspective. The situation unveiled itself during the day, I took the decision I am truly thankful for today, it first brought a storm in my life, but that happened to be the way to light…
